There’s no such thing as too much Harry Potter- a firm belief of the fantasy fandom.
The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a spin-off of the Harry Potter series, hit the web on Tuesday.
The trailer opens with familiar shot of Hogwarts Castle. It has almost been seven years since we saw the school, as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 released in 2011.
And now we are treated to Jude Law, as Albus Dumbledore. The reason for this introduction is, his association with New Scamander, the magi zoologist from the first film.
Dumbledore needs Newt’s help to track down his powerful friend, Gellert Grindelwald, who has escaped prison. We only get to see a fleeting shot of Grindelwald, but that’s possibly because of the backlash against actor Johnny Depp who plays the role. Depp was accused of domestic violence, by ex-wife Amber Heard.
The characters from the first film return, Katherine Waterston returns as Tina, Dan Fogler as Jacob, Ezra Miller as Credence and Alison Sudol as Queenie.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is expected to release on November 16.
